Based on Persian Gabbeh rugs, Gabbeh is a classification of Persian rugs , originally used as sleeping blankets, hand-woven and sheared, medium size (90x150cm or larger), bright colors and playful geometric patterns as its main features. It is worth mentioning that Gabbeh rugs are traditionally woven by female artisans.
Nowadays, the Gabbeh carpet produced by machine weaving in imitation of its style has also become an important category in the main sales markets of carpets such as Europe and the United States. Thanks to its thick feeling and rectangular animal and plant patterns with blessing meanings, it is easy to match with Bohemian and other ethnic styles, and it can be integrated into the home decoration style of living in cold climates such as Northern Europe without any sense of disobedience. .
