We are proud to offer a range of high quality hand knotted rugs crafted using exclusive designs, materials and ancient methods.

The production is by its very nature carried out using Tibetan knots, using only the best quality yarns, including wool from New Zealand, all in different thicknesses. Skilled painters transform the rug designer's sketches into detailed working artwork. Knotting is then performed on a vertical loom. The Tibetan knot features yarn looped around warp threads and a temporary rod. When the original knot is completed and pulled taut, the rod is pulled out to form the loop pile, or the loop pile Cutting to form shearing (pile).

All of our Antique Hand Knotted Rugs are washed after they have been knitted, with no access during the drying process to maintain a straight rectangular shape and no further processing until completely dry.
